Antmimic Jumper

Peckhamia picata

Description:

Tiny, dark brown jumper. Elongated body with a constriction on the abdomen. Small white dot on either side of abdomen near constriction. Thin white line of hairs between eyes on top of carapace. Looks and moves like an ant.

Habitat:

Suburban yard. Found on the wooden fence.

Notes:

One of the most interesting Jumping Spiders I have found so far!
