Esther Moth

Hypagyrtis esther

Description:

Geometrid moth with scalloped edges to wings. Purplish brown coloration. This genus can be very hard to distinguish species. This one was also moving around a lot, which made it harder to get a better image. This is my best guess. National Moth Week 2017.

Habitat:

Suburban. Most likely attracted to the lights from overnight.
