Reinwardt's Pitcher Plant

Nepenthes Reinwardtiana

Description:

Carnivorous plant, endemic to Borneo and Sumatra, this species is known for the two waxy 'eye spots' on the inner surface of its pitchers

Habitat:

open roadside, steep hill scrub

Notes:

My first pitcher plant I spotted in Maliau Basin. I spotted all 7 species found in the basin during my 6 days there. This one was growing along the road before we even got to our first camp.
