Malurus melanocephalus cruentatus
This drowsy darling seems to be a really light brown over the head extending down the back into darker brown onto the two long tail feathers. It has a white chin and throat. The body I think appears to be a really light rufous colour with white streaking...including the flanks. The wings have a prominent black patch. It has little pink legs and beak seems to be the same kind of colour.
The tree this tiny bird is in is beside a wetlands which is surrounded by marsh and bushland on the outskirts of town - near the waste water treatment area.
Thank you James for verifying the ID for me :) Reference: http://birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/red-...

Looks identical to me, good spot armadeus.4
I was looking at this site: http://birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/red-... and I'm almost positive this spotting is the same...a female Red-backed Fairy-wren. If anyone is able to verify this for me it would be very much appreciated :)
