Stonechat; Tarabilla Común

Saxicola rubicola

Description:

Female.
The bird in Pics 3 & 4 is uncertain, it could be a female Stonechat or a female Whinchat but the only sure way is to look at the throat which on a Whinchat is the same colour as the breast whereas the Stonchat has a darker throat. The amount of streaking on the breast is more suggestive of Stonechat.

Habitat:

Limestone outcrop in foothills of los Serranos mountains.
