Large weevils of 1 to 2 cm in length. The female is larger and more robust than the male (Pictures 5 and 6). Family Curculionidae.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
