Walking Sticks Mating

Description:

The female was very large, close to 9 cm long and a cryptic brown. The male was smaller and colored a red-brown with a green abdomen and tibiae. She moved about and he just held on.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
