Distinguished by its blood-red eyes. Overall dark brown color. Hind wing has greyish fringe with pale yellow.

Habitat:

It is mainly seen flying or basking early morning or at dusk otherwise remains hidden in thickets. Can be seen just before and during monsoon from June to November.
