Rhododendron periclymenoides

Description:

Deciduous shrub with clusters of terminal, pink, tubular flowers. Flowers were close to 2 inches in size, had a 5-lobed corolla, and 5 long, curved stamens projecting beyond the corolla. Leaves were thin and oblong.

Habitat:

I spotted this plant growing on the edge of a marsh in a very wet, dense, deciduous forest.
