Waved Sphinx Moth

Ceratomia undulosa

Description:

I noticed this huge sphinx moth crawling across my lawn. It was having a hard time until it got to my slippery elm and had no trouble making it's way up the trunk, where it obviously feels at home.

Habitat:

Lawn, slippery elm.
