No, not unless one of the cats brings one in...it has happened! I do sometimes nibble at one while I'm picking them, but they're too sweet for me raw. I've tried carob bread, make with carob flower, but I didn't like it that much. I love the smell of them, though. Just down the road from where I live is the place where all the carobs are brought once collected and the smell this time of year is fantastic!
Carobs grow wild all over the place around here, it's a major industry at this time of year, picking the carobs (that's what I'll be doing over the next couple of weeks!) Carobs are also used in animal feeds, like guinea pig and rabbit food. I've missed flowering (which is fairly inconsequential, but next year I'll try to remember to take a photo) but I can get a shot of the beans, a close up, next time I'm out and put it with this spotting for now.
Interesting. I've always heard about Carob as a chocolate substitute. Was never sure where if grew wild. When does it flower? Can you get shots of that?

The MOrning Glory is Ipomoea indica in my opinion.
Not sure about the seeds. But you can definitely munch on the casing/seed pod.
So you can just munch on those little seeds? I have to try this!
Two more photos added showing the carobs, Dan.

Do you ever use the carobs at home?
