dang another typo ~ the Glacus has no black in its tail...possibly it could be a Yellow Footed or Western but it's Not its a CA Gull.
Thanks for correcting me Birdlady6000! They looked so similar except for one being lighter in colour than the other I thought they may be male and female.

Hi Tom, your pics are of 2 different species of gull.
it's a Larus californicus = California Gull on its wintering grounds after breeding in the northwest up thru Oregon, Montana and mainly in Canaduh.
