Habitat:

next to a creek, tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica, end of rainy season at 8 meters above sea level

bayucca, this link is just like the one in my photo...only clearer and better! I hadn't noticed the differences but now that you mention it does seem interesting because I think that normally the strong color on the ventral is usually reflected muted on the dorsal. I am still a neophyte in all of this. thanks for taking note!

I know this one as Double-banded Banner. Nice spotting and interesting is the fact, that you see on the ventral 2 spots whereas on the dorsal only 1.
