Description:

Also known as Cockatoo Leaf Fish, Australian Red Cockatoo Waspfish and Cockatoo Rouge Fish. The Cockatoo Waspfish can be recognized by its long sail-like dorsal fin which originates above the eyes. They feed nocturnally on smaller fish and invertebrates.

Habitat:

Found singly or in pairs on coral reefs and in sheltered estuaries and bays usually on the bottom.

Notes:

I was able to take a picture of this waspfish during a night dive.
