Diamondback Moth

P⁠lutella xylostella

Description:

The adult is a small, slender, grayish-brown moth with pronounced antennae. It is about 6 mm long, and marked with a broad creamy-colored band along the back. The band has a form of light-colored diamonds, which is the basis for the common name of this insect.

Habitat:

In a garden.

Hi Arne,
as you know, I follow your spottings and I think this is the first time that you have posted a species from Norway that we also have here in Philippines. Its amazing how some species manage to spread to so many parts of the world.
