Description:

These were a bit spent but it was interesting to see a 3-way organism association. In the first pic, you can see the bird's nest fungus following the tracks of the bark beetle on the Douglas fir limb.

Habitat:

Spotted on a rotting Douglas fir tree limb along a wetland area.
