A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Cracticus nigrogularis picatus
This is a juvenile. Unlike the adult who has an entirely black head and breast (which looks like a bib), the immature bird is more pale rufuous, brown colour. They have a white underbelly with some of the same pale rufous extending through it. The wings are also brown and the tail as well.
Hanging about at Cable Beach.
