Gloeoporus Crust Fungi

Gloeoporus sp.

Description:

Interesting pink crust fungus with a white bloom on the pores and a white edge surrounding it. Amorphic shape with no stem and no discernible cap. Approximately 3cm long.

Habitat:

Saprobic growth on birch logs that are on the side of my kids' fort in a deciduous forest.

Notes:

Possibly Gloeoporus dichrous
