Acacia Leaf Beetle ( Calomela -1)

Description:

Springtime !!
This attractive beetle was about 8 mm long. Dark pitted metallic green elytra were bordered by orange margins. The prothroax was a paler green with no markings.

Habitat:

Spotted on Black Wattle ( Acacia mearnsii) in a nature reserve.

Notes:

These glittering beetles were everywhere on black wattle bushes in this nature reserve. Family: Chrysomelidae
