Longnose Snake

Rhinocheilus lecontei

Description:

Black and white blotched back with speckled sides. This was a tiny individual, and many young longnose have very little red on them. There is also the clarus morph that completely lacks red, but they tend to be further west.

Habitat:

Found on the road at night in desert flats near the chiricuhua mountains.
