Passionvine Hopper (last breath)

Scolypopa australis

Description:

A common hopper 10mm long with clear wings.

Habitat:

Any green stems.

Notes:

Still moving but suspended like an angel, a passionvine hopper hangs in a web taking it's last breath. The owner of the web was nowhere to be seen. After inflicting a paralysing bite it probably retreated out of harms way.

I know it's a dreadful situation for the hopper but they normally move so quickly there is no opportunity to capture their wings at 'half way'. At least the spider has provided a great view. (nature provides)
