Cooper's Hawk

Accipiter cooperii

Notes:

Perched in a dead, leafless tree this Cooper's Hawk was surrounded by American Redstarts and other warblers, who could clearly see him and viceversa. The warblers were hawking for insects with one eye, while making sure the hawk couldn't launch a sortie at them with the other. I could not tell if it pested the Cooper's Hawk or if they were using the hawk as a deterrent from larger slower birds.
