Craterellus tubaeformis (formerly Cantharellus tubaeformis)

Description:

C. tubaeformis is a yellowish-brown and trumpet-shaped mushroom found in great numbers late in the mushroom season, thus earning the common name winter mushroom. The cap is convex and sometimes hollow down the middle. The gills are widely separated, and of lighter color than the cap.

Habitat:

Europe and North America, It grows on moss or rotten wood, is found mostly in spruce forests

Notes:

spotted in a mix forest near my house in a old trunk,it looks like a chanterelle species,i have to check it

Not a chanterelle.

Yes they are and this one is a chanterelle sp,i have to search furder
