Enamelled Back Spider

Description:

Light brown legs with darker patterned strips. 15mm Tear drop shaped abdomen, pale green with dark brown patterned stripes.

Habitat:

Web has been constructed between a house balcony pole and above a bush. There are only two threads that connect the web to the pole. Habitats are generally built between bushes and grasses close to ground.

Notes:

Family: Araneidea Is a common Australian spider found in Tasmania, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Females are 17mm in length Males are 6mm in length
