Salmon Sun-orchid

Thelymitra rubra

Description:

Growing to about 35cm with one or two flowers per stem. Downward habit of flowers means I missed the inside shot. :( Hope to fix that in a couple of days. Maybe this is the one that raises it's head and opens when the humidity and temperature rise sufficiently.

Habitat:

In a local nature (flora) reserve.

Notes:

Found in Vic and Tas.
Family: Orchidaceae
Subfamily: Orchidoideae
Tribe: Diurideae
Subtribe: Thelymitrinae
