Orobanche rapum-genistae

Description:

Parasitic herbaceous plant 15 cm. tall. Very polymorphous. Yellow stems completely lacking chlorophyll, with reddish and yellow snapdragon-like flowers. The leaves are merely triangular scales. O. rapum-genistae is parasitic of leguminosae shrubs. It can be identified as O. rapum-genistae because of its proximity to a broom, see second picture.

Habitat:

Between broom bushes in the mountains, at 2000 m. Parque Nacional de Sierra de Guadarrama, Peñalara
