A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
This spotting was seen in the Anstine-Audubon Nature Preserve http://www.sandiegoaudubon.org/anstine-n... which is in the Coastal Sage/Scrub and Chaparral biomes.
This is probably too dark to identify, but it is probably an Anna's Hummingbird.

Thanks Kathleen. Around here there are a lot of hummingbird nests. One nests every year in my brother's courtyard and raises two broods in quick succession. See http://www.projectnoah.org/users/CindyBi... for more hummer nests; she's a master of seeing them and taking great photos.
Lucky spotting! Did you ever see it again? I have only seen a couple hummingbird nests and didn't have my camera handy for one of them. The other one, the birds had just fledged so I just got a picture of the nest. But it is a work of art too. Pretty!
Thanks Ava for the idea,i post it in pn worldwide facebook group :)
Antonio, what a lovely essay on marking the passage of our lives! You should post to the pn fb page!
thanks Ava it seems to me like a dream arriving to the 1000 spotting.I'am not a number "beeliver",but i allways like to give the numbers special "meanings",nothing supernatural, only a human way of marking the time streem of our life's, giving it a sense,a meaning,a story line, the number's make that perfectly.so thanks for your friendly attention on that, i profite to tell that i'am very happy with noah platform, noah friends and with me and my wife,1000 spottings in my kind of spotting is much more than 3000 photos, maybe 4000,so it's many work, many hours of hapyness :)
today i'am going to load more two to make the 999(great number to:) and then the 1000 one as to be special,i dont have him yet,but i'am not concern,i'am a lucky guy and nature will bring us something to our 1000 one :)
Thanks, Antonio.
