Purple jelly discs

Ascocoryne sarcoides

Description:

Very small (1 to 2mm) wide flesh-coloured discs growing on damp dead log. discs had a wavy margin and a waxy feel. They did not have a stalk and rose directly from wood. Pic #2 shows upper surface and pic #3, the lower surface of a disc.

Habitat:

damp eucalyptus forest
