Yes, or come to BC and sit down by any fast-flowing rocky stream/river in the breeding season and you may see a pair bringing food to their nest, or singing as they fly past you. Definitely a special bird! Nice spotting.
Ashley, I can see why! I hiked down a small cliff to get closer to this bird. I couldn't believe my eyes when it was diving and swimming.
Ashley & Josh, if you visit Yosemite, I'm sure you'll get an opportunity to see an American dipper.
No problem! Super jealous you got to see one, they are very high on my list of birds to see! A songbird that swims is just too cool
