Description:

A medium sized mushroom with distinct purple-red cap domed then flat when older with dished centre, a thick pink tinted, slightly scaly stipe often flared to the bottom, very white gills. Up to 80mm across and 100mm tall.

Habitat:

Open eucalyptus forest with grassy understory.

Notes:

Also known as Russula clelandi.
