Tarantula

Description:

The size of its home/hole is around 5 cm width, so this Tarantula is quite big in size.

Habitat:

Tropical forest. They dig holes in the ground and hides inside the holes during day time and come out at the entrance of the hole at night time, waiting for prey to pass by.

Notes:

Saw this Tarantula during night walk, it was constantly withdrawing into its hole each time I put my light on the hole. I learned from a guide from another National Park, to entice it to come out of its hole by using a stick to tap lightly at the entrance of the hole, which probably creates movement/vibrations, making it thinks there is a prey passing by its hole.
