Rufous-Tailed Tailorbird

Description:

Saw this small bird during a night walk, it was sleeping on a branch about 3 meters height. Was not able to get closer-up pictures and it didn't woke up, was not able to get pictures of the face :(

I agree with you Jellis. I looked up sleeping behavior of tailorbirds. They curl up in a ball and tuck their long bill in which explains its absence from the photo. The Rufous-tailed Tailorbird also is common in Sarawak, more so than any similar flowerpeckers. Thank you for pointing this bird out.

My 2 cents says it maybe a Rufous-tailed Tailorbird (Orthotomus sericeus)

I doubt that a species identification can be made form this photo, but the stubby tail definitely leads me to believe its a flowerpecker.
