Bracket fungus - two

? trametes sp

Description:

Tiny brown tufts (15mm across) of bracket fungi on a piece of stick. They appeared to be budding out of the wood as white tufts. The upper surfaces were like uniformly brown velvet fanning out to margins of soft white. The under surface showed fine pores.

Habitat:

a piece of narrow branch amongst leaf litter. Found this next to previous spottinghttp://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/113...

Notes:

They looked like pieces of partially popped corn - Not sure if this is the same species of fungi as in the previous spotting but could be immature Trametes versicolor - a common bracket No species ID suggestions
