Long, smooth leaves with toothed edges. Interesting purple flower parts with twinges of red. Epiphytic.

Habitat:

Tropical, high annual rainfall. Non-native to Hawaii.

Notes:

This is likely an A. fendleri hybrid.

Thank you, DD! I searched and conquered, haha. I think this is a hybrid, so the species can't really be pinpointed, but I figured out the genus.

Beautiful! Love the large purple inflorescences. It's epiphytic alright, a type of Bromeliad. Not sure of the genus but an image search should help narrow it down.
