Order Nudibeanchia

Description:

Nudibranchs are a type of mollusk. They are very colorful, and come in many shapes and color combinations. The pictured is about 2" long. They move very slowly, in similar speed to a land snail. The flesh of these animals is toxic and/or distasteful...their bright colors being a warning to predators to let them be.

Habitat:

This was spotted in the South Pacific, Coral Sea.

Great photo! I would love to do some diving armed with a camera some time! I have snorkeling photos of a Garibaldi in CA, but I can't find them.
