Description:

Mottled brownish black body, with bold bright red face. This was a very small spider, less than a cm total length.

Habitat:

Spotted on the writer, it was apparently drawn to the lime green shirt I was wearing and was content to stay there. I placed it on a white plate for photos, and it then jumped onto the marigold flowers as shown in photos above.

Notes:

Very inquisitive. I had a hard time finding info. on the typical size of this species. This may be a juvenile.
