A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
While on a hike in Western Montana, we came across this beautiful spider and its fresh prey. It was busy wrapping up this butterfly and then moved it under a leaf which you can see in the last picture.
We came across this scene in Western Montana near a beautiful stream.
I don't know what kind of spider this is, but the butterfly looks like it might be a swallowtail. I'd love to get more info!

Amazing job Yasser. :D I find it amazing who when a fly or another insect flies into the web the spider picks up the vibrations immediately. again good job :)
