Chloerophyllum molybdites
Distinctive mushrooms, 4-6 inches tall, with a cap that looks like a golf ball when young, then expands to a 4 - 8 inches across, often growing in full or partial fairy rings. The overall colir is white, with reddish brown scales on the cap and ring on the smooth stalk. The gills are white when young and gradualky turn a dull grey-green from the maturing of the distinctively green spores. The base is slightelt enlarged.
