A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Diodora cayenensis
These small- to medium-sized (up to one inch) sea snails are western Atlantic marine gastropod mollusks. The shell is cone-shaped with a keyhole-like opening on top. Their colors vary from white to pinkish gray or brown sometimes with faint rays. They live in inlets and offshore waters attached to rocks or shells; sometimes they are found on sound and ocean beaches.
