Moth

Krananda sp. cf. semihyalina

Description:

This moth looks like it is made out of crumpled, frosty-looking, translucent tracing paper. It looks tattered and torn but it isn't really. The outer edges of the wings look stained and dirty because of the mottling effect of cream colour on brown.

Habitat:

Drawn towards the porch light and resting on the bamboo walls of a cottage at Village Kolakham; a remote, forested area situated at an altitude of 1868m in the Kalimpong Hills of Darjeeling District, on the fringes of Neora Valley National Park.

You have to scroll down quite a bit to come to the image of this moth in the link provided. Thanks to NuwanChathuranga for the ID.
