Description:

This bird is around 9 inches high, it has a bright blue head and back with a yellow chest and barred undertail.

Habitat:

A resident of tropical south American forests and also an inhabitant of Trinidad. Usually nesting in old rotten trees or discarded termite nests.

Notes:

If this bird wasnt so brightly coloured you would hardly even know he was there as he justs sits quietly in a branch and doesnt move around or create any sort of rustling to alert you to his presence.
