Tineid Moth

Description:

This attractive moth was about 10 mm long ( wing span about 20 mm). Wings had patterns of shades of brown, they were tented-up with a rounded and fringed trailing margin.

Habitat:

spotted under bright lights in area with native trees.

Notes:

Larvae of this moth live under bark of rotting wood. They are said to feed on bark and wood. Family: Tineidae Subfamily: Myrmecozelinae
