Spotting

Notes:

This's the first moth of this type - 'silk moth type' - that I've spotted, but was little surprised as it wasn't as large as I had expected it to be! Is it going to grow more?

Moths and butterflies do all their growing as caterpillars. Once they metamorphose into the adult, that's as big as they'll get. Saturniidae can have a wingspan of as small as 1 inch, or get as big as 12 inches (the Atlas Moth.) The average size is about 5-6 inch wingspan.
