Description:

The first 3 pictures are crops from pictures 4 & 5 which themselves are both cropped, the originals being taken from some distance away using a 400mm telephoto lens, hence the poor depth of field.
Also known as a Blacksmith Plover.
The other birds in the pictures are African Darter, Reed Cormorant & Speckled Pigeon.

Habitat:

Marievale Bird Sanctuary Provincial Nature Reserve.
