Pachycephala olivacea
Another of the whistler species known for its incredibly beautiful singing. Grows to about 22cm, olive green shades on most of body & wings & tail, also russet red colour on wings, lighter grey belly & upper back, some streaking to front, dark eyes, juvenile has more russet red on wing tips. Feeds on insects & small fruit & berries.
Found in south east Queensland, eastern NSW into Victoria and South Australia, also Tasmania (this form has some variation). Not common but prefers mountain forest country but can also be found occasionally in coastal forests & gardens. This one in NSW eastern dry woodland forest.
