this is the female of a pair of Marico Sunbirds playing host to a Diderick Cuckoo. She is a drab grey brown with a contrasting white eye stripe

Habitat:

well wooded, large garden in a semi arid tree/bush savannah area

Notes:

Sunbirds are not the primary hosts chosen by Diderick Cuckoos, they normally go for Weaver bird nests
