Glossy Ibis; Morito

Plegadis falcinellus

Description:

I could see these through the reeds while eating lunch but thought they were Gallinules. It was only when I stood up afterwards that I saw a curved bill through the reeds and decided to take a closer look. I had to stand on the railings to get these pictures.

Habitat:

Coastal marshes.

They are resident in the extreme south but usually visit this area in summer. These two must have heard about the good weather we are having here!
