Pelecanus erythrorhynchos
The American White Pelican (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) is a large aquatic bird from the order Pelecaniformes. It breeds in interior North America, moving south and to the coasts, as far as Central America and South America, in winter.

Thanks for the info, Aaron. I guess they're as happy near fresh water as salt.
In the Tulsa area we see them most in the wintertime. They are commonly found around Keystone Lake (and the dam), the Arkansas River, and Oxley Nature Center, where this one was spotted (north Tulsa).
Beautiful. Are they common in Oklahoma?
