Dark, reddish brown fungus with a bit of cream mottling, growing at the base of tree trunk.
Riparian woods near shoreline of Lake Lewisville. This part of the woods is often under water and takes the brunt of bad weather and high winds. The ground is littered with fallen trees, branches and debris.
