Gulf Fritillary pupa

Agraulis vanillae

Habitat:

fields, parks, gardens

Notes:

When I'm at this park, I remember Jabari's spotting here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/172... and always look through this vine to see if there are any caterpillars. Didn't see any today, but found a pupa not too far away. The school should be closed for spring break so I hope no one disturbs it. (I think they develop in about a week). I found it low to the ground in one of the cement columns.
